The Real Work of Female Founders: Focusing on What Truly Matters
As a founder and mother of a six-month-old, launching a business, I’ve learned one essential truth: intentional time management isn’t optional.
My full-time job as a momma easily clocks in at 20 hours a day. Add in the 6–8 hours a week I devote to my own business and client work, and I’m operating in a 140-hour workweek. You don’t need to be good at math to understand why efficiency is everything.
Efficacy over perfection.
When it comes to client work, my priorities are simple: Be effective. Add value.
That means releasing the need to obsess over perfect formatting or flawless grammar. Instead, I focus on what truly matters, getting the work done and creating real impact for my clients.
So many mothers, women, and female entrepreneurs fall into the perfection trap. We’re already carrying enough. Spending precious, finite energy stressing over minor details only drains us further.
So I ask you, where is your energy going?
If you’re a mom, a business owner, or both, I encourage you to stop and reflect:
Where are you spending your energy, and what can you trim, delegate, or refocus?
For yourself, for your clients, for your family, I encourage you to consider 1) Your time is limited 2) Your impact doesn’t have to be.
